Tommy Powell hosts Fishin' & Wishin'. Let's face it. Tommy Powell would rather be fishing. Of course, as host of Fishin' and Wishin,' Tommy has at least a couple of hours he has to devote to talking about fishing and the outdoors as opposed to being out on the water. But that's ok with Tommy. If he can't be out on the water, he'd rather be bringing in his years of fishing experience (and the occasional "one that got away" story) to network radio.
Tommy always provides a comfortable, warm atmosphere and lots of entertainment value that even non-anglers can appreciate. Where, when and what to fish for are regular topics on this proven long-running weekend program. To make things even more tempting, Tommy's guest on the program have include world-renowned fishing expert Hank Parker, rock musician Ted Nugent and musician Larry Gatlin. Tommy offers fishing information on all types of fishing ranging from saltwater to freshwater to forays into other types of angling.
Fact is, you won't find a bigger fan of the great outdoors or a talk show host with a better and brighter attitude than Tommy Powell. So it's no surprise that at least for a couple of hours on Saturday's, Tommy has quite a few anglers on the line. Tommy Powell has an infectious smile in his voice and a zest for living that make this program a hit with non-anglers too.
